Focus Consultants Founding Partner Kevin Osbon has been formally invested as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, “For services to the Economy and to Regeneration in the East Midlands”.

Kevin received the honour at an investiture ceremony on 30 September 2026, recognising his contribution over the past four decades to economic growth and regeneration in the East Midlands, alongside his wider work across the UK and longstanding commitment to charitable causes.

Throughout his career, Kevin has played a key role in shaping, funding and delivering more than £4 billion of major regeneration initiatives for public, private and third-sector organisations. His work spans economic development, culture, heritage and community projects, including Leicester’s £60 million CURVE theatre, the £20 million Aerospace Bristol museum and the £26 million redevelopment of Nottingham Castle.

While his work has taken him across the UK, the East Midlands has remained at the heart of Kevin’s career. Working with local authorities, businesses, cultural organisations and community partners, he has helped to secure investment and bring forward projects that create lasting economic and social benefits.

Reflecting on the occasion, Kevin said:

“Receiving this honour from The Princess Royal was an extraordinarily humbling experience. While this MBE carries my name, it really belongs to the brilliant team at Focus Consultants, as well as the community partners and charities that I’ve had the privilege to work with and represent over the years and my family and friends whose support and encouragement have been invaluable.”

“I remain as dedicated as ever to driving UK regeneration, supporting the property and construction sector, helping to tackle the major challenges facing our industry, and continuing my charitable endeavours.”

Jason Redfearn, Managing Partner at Focus Consultants, said:

“We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate Kevin’s well-deserved recognition. His vision, leadership and personal commitment to community and charitable causes have left a lasting mark across the UK.

“To see his life’s work recognised at the highest national level is a truly proud moment for Kevin, his family and the whole team at Focus Consultants.”

Kevin remains actively involved with Focus Consultants and the wider construction sector and is passionate about giving back, sharing the experience gained over his 40-year career by mentoring the next generation of industry talent and innovators. He has used his extensive industry expertise and experience to support students looking to enter the construction sector through his work with NTU's School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, both in teaching and more recently as a member of the Alumni and Industry Fellowship Programme.
