Award certificates

Find out about the criteria needed for NTU award certificates, such as certificate design, production and transcript information.

Certificate design

As a validated partner, you have the option to add your logo and Director's (or equivalent) name, title and signature to the certificate. Please send the signatories name and title, along with logo and signatures files to CADQ.

To ensure good quality certificates are produced the specifications are as follows:

  • Signatures should be written in fairly thick, black ink on white paper, and then scanned and sent electronically.
  • The logo needs to be a high quality image file which has not already been condensed.

Files should be either .bmp or .jpg format.

Please note that where you do not take up the logo and signatory option, the certificate will still include your institutions name. Please contact if you would like to discuss your certificate design further.

You can choose to have either the board of examiners or award ceremony date printed on certificates. Where a there are multiple examination boards in an academic year, or where there is a significant gap between examination boards and award ceremonies, we would advise using the examination board date on certificates.

Certificate production

Academic Registry produces certificates following receipt of conferment lists, and dispatches them directly to you by courier.

Upon receipt, you should check that the complete set of certificates have been received and that names, awards and classifications are correct. A conferment log will be included with the certificates which should be signed and dated to confirm receipt of certificates and returned to Academic Registry.

If any certificates are incorrect or damaged on receipt, please return the original certificate to us and a replacement can be arranged. In the instance that a student name is incorrect or a certificate goes missing once it has been signed for by a Centre, a charge may be levied for a new certificate to be produced.

It is your responsibility to produce transcripts of results for students. The following information should be included in all transcripts.

  • Centre name;
  • NTU as the awarding body.

  • Student ID number
