Placement options

Short-term placements

Short-term student placements are a flexible way to bring NTU Talent into your business. They offer a great opportunity to trial potential future employees and add extra resources for specific projects, while equipping students with valuable work-based skills and experience in a professional environment.

Short placements are available across multiple schools, with varying durations up to 12 weeks.

Sandwich placements

A sandwich placement is a full placement year that takes place before the final year of a degree. All undergraduate students are able to undertake an optional Sandwich placement or year-in-industry. As the students will have already completed two years of their degree, the aim is for them to apply their learning in the workplace under the supervision of both the university and industry partners.

They are a great way to build your graduate talent pipeline, introduce new ideas, whilst giving students practical industry experience and early careers support fully embedded in your team.

Masters placements

Our Masters and MBA students have the option for a 12-month placement as part of their two-year courses. These students tend to have previous industry experience, so they can seamlessly join your business and offer a higher level of expertise.

Our Masters placements run July to September. Some courses also offer January starts. See our Masters Placement Guide for more information.
