About the unit
Project Adapted arose out of the need for practical guidance for teacher training students on a specialist course to teach the learning disabled in the mid 1970s at Nottingham Trent University.
The Adapted Physical Activities Unit was established in 1991. Its purpose is to integrate and expand the well established tradition of initiatives developed and conducted by NTU’s Nottingham Institute of Education relating to adapted physical activities.
