Our Visual Communications courses give you first-hand experience of what it’s like to work in industry with access to an extensive range of facilities including dedicated moving-image studios, Cintiq drawing stations and games console laboratories. Connect with industry

You’ll have opportunities to raise your professional profile before you even graduate. Benefit from our excellent connections with industry through live project briefs, guest lectures, exhibitions, industry competitions, study trips and placements.

Students have previously received industry input from organisations such as Hallmark, Penguin Random House, Harper Collins, Colorama, Surface Gallery and Pinewood Studio across our courses.

If your course is based at Confetti you'll take part in their annual Industry Week where you’ll be able to meet a range of professionals within your field of interest as well as other areas of the creative industries. Past guests have included the likes of Framestore, Industrial Light and Magic, The Mill, Access VFX and Aardman Animations.

Our facilities

In the School of Art & Design, you'll be working in studios dedicated to print, interactive media and moving image, as well as getting to grips with industry-standard software in our Mac suites. You can see a list of facilities relevant for each course on our course pages.

If you're studying at Confetti, you'll study in professional studio facilities and workshops in Confetti's £9.1 million digital media hub, Confetti HQ.

Showcase

You can view a selection of student work from our Visual Communication subject areas on the School of Art & Design's Showcase site.

If you're studying Visual Effects Production Technology courses, you can view student work on the Confetti Degree Showcase site.

As a student at NTU, you'll also have the opportunity to showcase your work in your final year. Many of our courses provide opportunities to be selected to exhibit exhibit externally in local, national or international spaces.
