Graduate Outcomes Survey
The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a national survey, sent to all graduates 15 months after they finish a Higher Education course. It’s the biggest annual social survey in the UK and captures information about your experiences and your current status.
Why complete the survey?
We want to hear about what you are doing now. Are you in work? Still continuing in education? Or doing something else? Let us know!
Your responses will help to shape the future for NTU students – including those looking to study the same course as you. Share your experience and help to inspire the next generation.
About the survey
If you are employed and have multiple jobs, you will be asked to provide details of your main job. This doesn't have to be the activity you spend the most time doing, or which pays you the most money. It should be the one most related to your future plans.
For example, a photography graduate who is starting out as a self-employed wedding photographer might also be working full-time in retail to pay the bills while they build their business. They should select self-employment as their ‘main’ job, as this relates to their future plans.
To make sure your achievements are fully recognised, please include your full job title and any relevant professional accreditations (e.g. ‘Chartered Accountant’ rather than ‘Accountant’). Filling in the ‘duties’ section in the survey with as much detail as possible also helps us better understand and showcase the range of careers our graduates pursue.
This is your chance to reflect on the wide range of skills, experiences, and learning you developed at NTU, both within and beyond your course. It’s about your whole development and how you’re applying what you’ve learned to your next steps, not just your specialist subject.
If you're currently doing postgraduate study, it would be great to hear about that too.
Are your contact details up to date?
Make sure your details are up to date so we can contact you about the survey. Find out more on our update your details page.
How does it work?
The Graduate Outcomes survey is delivered by HESA on behalf of NTU. You can complete the survey on most devices and it only takes around 10 minutes.
You’ll be contacted by either:
- Email: The survey will be emailed to you from thenottinghamtrentuniversity@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk. These emails will contain a link to the online survey.
- Text messages: You could also receive a text from 'GradOutcome' containing your unique survey link.
- Phone: Don’t fancy a phone call from IFF Research? Complete it online first to avoid the follow-up.
