The Student Success Endowment

An initiative that will deliver real and meaningful social transformation, and we invite you to be a part of it.

What is the Student Success Endowment?

The Student Success Endowment is an income-generating investment that will channel all dividends it accrues into an Opportunity Fund for disadvantaged students.

We have invested £10,000,000 in capital to establish the Student Success Endowment. Our fundraising ambition is to match this, so that we can effectively deliver financial support to those who most need it.

The Student Success Endowment is a pioneering tool in the promotion of social mobility enabling us to nurture the most deserving students with an annual opportunity bursary. This will support some of the best, brightest, and most dedicated young people who so often are forced to settle for less.

The Student Success Endowment

Going to university is about so much more than just getting a degree. It offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop confidence, connections, and a strong sense of self – crucially requiring engagement in work placements, voluntary activities, sport, music, societies and more. Evidence shows that students who pursue these initiatives develop vital life skills and are more successful overall.

At NTU, many of our wonderful students join us from disadvantaged communities that, typically, are far less affluent. They often face financial barriers to vital opportunities and experiences that cannot be overcome by talent or hard work. We recognise wholeheartedly that this must change.

I’m keen to extend my studies by volunteering and completing work experience. I simply wouldn’t have been able to consider that were it not for the financial support. Just affording to travel to voluntary organisations would have been a barrier.
