Clearing information for international students

Nottingham Trent University is one of the UK’s most popular universities and welcomes a large international student community with staff and students from over 160 countries.

It’s not too late to apply for a Bachelors course at NTU starting in September 2026.

What is UCAS Clearing?

Clearing is the undergraduate application process for a UK university, from early July until courses start in September. From Thursday 2 July 2026, you could apply to NTU through Clearing if you are in one of the following situations:

  • You haven’t applied to a university yet or you are not holding an offer at another institution, and you already have your academic grades / qualification results
  • Your academic grades / qualifications meet our requirements, but you haven’t applied to a university yet
  • You do not meet the academic requirements for your firm or insurance UCAS choices, or the standard entry requirements for NTU but you would like to apply.

If you are interested in applying through Clearing, take action as soon as you receive your results and become eligible. This ensures you have time to complete the application process, and to make the necessary arrangements to move to the UK, such as applying for a Student visa.
