Clearing information for international students

Nottingham Trent University is one of the UK’s most popular universities and welcomes a large international student community with staff and students from over 160 countries.

It’s not too late to apply for a Bachelors course at NTU starting in September 2024.

What is UCAS Clearing?

Clearing is the undergraduate application process for UK universities from early July until courses start in September. From 5 July 2024, you could apply through Clearing if you are in one of the following situations:

  • You are not holding an offer at another institution, and you already have your academic grades / qualification results
  • You do not meet the academic requirements for your firm or insurance UCAS choices.

If you are interested in applying through Clearing please take action as soon as you receive your results and become eligible. This is to ensure you have time to complete the application process, and make the necessary arrangements to move to the UK. If you need a Student visa, you should make your Clearing application by 31 August at the very latest. Applications will only be considered after this date in exceptional circumstances (i.e. you are able to access priority visa services or are eligible to apply for a visa from within the UK).

Do you already have your qualification results?

If you already have your qualification results, please follow these steps to make your Clearing application:

  • Call our Clearing hotline on +44 (0)115 848 6000 to speak to one of our friendly advisors or apply online
  • If you meet the requirements for your chosen course, you will receive an offer. To accept this offer you need to add this as a Clearing choice on UCAS
  • Our Admissions team will then verify your results and we may contact you to ask for more information to help you to meet the conditions of your offer
  • We’ll then send you lots of information about preparing to come to Nottingham and starting your studies.

Please take a look at our step-by-step guide of what to do when you receive an offer through Clearing.

Are you waiting for your qualification results?

  • If you want to find out more about the University, the course you want to apply for, or need support with your application, you can contact your NTU Country Advisor
  • You can make an application as soon as you have your results (see the application advice above).
