After this course, I want to go on to university and study zoology and then volunteer around the world.
More about Chloe
I chose Land and Wildlife Management because it opens up a lot of opportunities for my future career choice. Brackenhurst really stood out to me, because it’s a beautiful site and has really nice people.
In this course, we do a variety of things, such as doing practicals in estate skills and going out doing surveys. I really enjoy learning about ecology, aquatics and countryside recreation.
This course really is fantastic and it also gives you different skills that can be used in the future. During my time here, I’ve completed 150 hours of work experience, with 30 hours completed on site. This experience included lambing and helping out at the animal unit.
We have group tutorials, which have helped to develop our knowledge of how to write an assessment and how to set it out. My course tutors are kind, funny and helpful.
It only took a few days to settle in and make friends because we had an introduction day, including a BBQ, so we got to know a few people on the course.
After this course, I want to go on to university and study zoology and then volunteer around the world.
If I had to describe my time at NTU in three words, I’d say fantastic, interesting and fun!
