Why did you choose NTU and your course?

“There was no better place to study than NBS. The University is renowned for international excellence, thanks to its high quality and unique teaching delivered by reputable academics. No wonder it comes highly recommended by its alumni. Moreover, given its diverse student body, NBS provides a vibrant and enriching learning atmosphere where one can also learn about other cultures and experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

I chose to study for an MSc in Finance and Investment Banking because of my interest in analysing and valuing investments in financial products. This is essential for the economic development of my country. I was therefore certain that in the ever-changing financial markets, this course would equip me with the knowledge to deal with emerging issues within the area of finance and Investment banking.”

Why did you choose to study at postgraduate level?

“As a central banker, it was desirable that I broaden my understanding of finance and investment banking. A postgraduate qualification in this field was therefore essential.”

What has stood out about Nottingham Business School?

“The School provided a unique teaching and learning experience. It enabled me to complete the Bloomberg Market Concepts course free of charge alongside my degree. Additionally, I was able to complete a certified Transformational Leadership in Practice programme. I also cherish the opportunity I had to work with the Bank of England.”

What is your favourite thing about your course?

“The delivery was exceptional. All modules were first delivered in lectures and then workshops. This innovative teaching approach delivered by leading minds enhanced my understanding of the concepts. The School hosted several guest lectures and workshops, on and off-campus, which gave me practical experience in finance and investment banking, a crucial foundation for career advancement.

I have improved my analytical, statistical and research skills during the course of my study. I have also gained communication, professional and transformational leadership skills.”

How have you found Nottingham as a student city?

“Nottingham is a vibrant and culturally diverse city. It is home to thousands of international students and it is easy for one to find their way around. The city is safe, friendly and offers a convenient internal and external public transport system.”
