More about Mohamed
I am Mohamed, a first-year PhD student at Nottingham Law School. As a qualified lawyer in the Egyptian Bar Association, my career has focused on commercial and corporate law.
I hold a Master's degree (LL.M.) in Commercial Law from the University of Exeter, where I was honoured with the prestigious Global Excellence Scholarship. My Master's dissertation explored the transformative potential of Blockchain Technology in facilitating the widespread adoption of e-bills of lading in international trade.
Additionally, I have earned two postgraduate diplomas in private law and international trade law, which are equivalent to a Master's degree in law (LL.M.) and a Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) from Mansoura University in Egypt. Before embarking on my legal studies, my academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Delta Higher Institute in Egypt.
I am privileged to have been awarded the Nottingham Trent University studentship, supporting my pursuit of a PhD in Law under the guidance of Prof. Elspeth Berry, Dr Julia Jennings, and Dr Igho Dabor. My doctoral research explores the abuse of limited partnership structures for economic crimes, aligning with my goal to contribute substantive insights to law, particularly in limited partnership systems, commercial law, corporate governance, and financial regulations.
