NTU Enterprise Start Up Programme
Kickstart your entrepreneurial journey with NTU!
Are you a student or graduate with a passion for innovation and a desire to turn your ideas into a reality? Our NTU Start Up Programme is designed just for you!
Designed to fit around your work and studies with a commitment of one day per week for 12 weeks, NTU Start Up will provide you with the key skills you need to get your business off the ground.
Here's what you can expect from the NTU Start Up Programme:
- Expert guidance and mentoring: learn from our team of enterprise advisors and business mentors who will be with you every step of the way.
- Workshops: interactive sessions on business planning, marketing, finance and more.
- Ideas into action: develop your entrepreneurial skills through practical application of enterprising ideas and competencies.
- Networking opportunities: Connect with like-minded peers and professionals in the community at the Dryden Enterprise Centre on NTU’s city campus.
- Funding Support: develop a realistic plan to help you identify and access finance and funding for your business.
- Flexible Learning: practical business tools to take away and adapt to your own circumstances. The NTU Start Up Programme runs three times a year so you can balance your studies and business needs flexibly.
- Access to the DEC: access to our dynamic community of entrepreneurs at the Dryden Enterprise Centre with the space to develop your start-up.
Dates
The NTU Start Up Programme runs three times a year, as three separate cohorts - allowing you the choice to join the programme at a time that suits you best.
- Cohort 1: 24 September – 10 December 2024 (Deadline for applications: Friday 6 September)
- Cohort 2: 30 January – 17 April 2025 (Deadline for applications: Friday 17 January)
- Cohort 3: 15 May – 31 July 2025 (Deadline for applications: Friday 2 May)
Am I eligible?
- Open to NTU students and graduates with a passion for entrepreneurship.
- The programme is not open to international students as this will contravene visa requirements (please note: international graduates in receipt of a Graduate visa or Innovator Founder visa are eligible to apply).
- No prior business experience is required – just bring your ideas and enthusiasm… and be prepared to work hard!
How to apply:
It's important that you read our NTU Start Up Applicant Information Document before submitting an expression of interest form.
Once you have done so, all that's left to do is:
- submit an expression of interest form via the link below by the deadline (see dates above)
- join the programme - successful applicants will be notified and can start their entrepreneurial journey with us!
