The Vet Show 30 Under Thirty (VS30) is an initiative designed to give young leaders, innovators and inspirers in the veterinary community the chance to be recognised and expand their networks by joining an exclusive cohort.
Congratulations to Bethan Lovvorn, who studied FdSc Veterinary Nursing, followed by the BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing Science (final year top-up), for being recognised on her achievements and positive impact in the sector.
“Since leaving NTU, I became a member of the IVC Evidensia UK Nurse Board, wrote an article for the British Veterinary Nursing Association, and achieved my AFHEA and BSc awards all while working around my full-time job,” Bethan shared with us.
She reminisced: “My favourite thing about NTU was the incredible opportunities that were given to me to expand my skills, with realistic practical stimulations provided. The animal unit and veterinary nursing building really helped me to develop these skills too.”
We asked what advice she had for future veterinary students.
“My advice would be to just go for it! You’ll never know where you’ll end up. Say yes to as many opportunities as possible even when they are terrifying!”
The 2023 VS30 cohort will be invited to take part in a series of live and virtual events and will receive exclusive opportunities throughout the year including attending the Official VS30 Induction Ceremony, the opportunity to contribute opinion pieces to the Vet Show global veterinary newsletter, exclusive discounts and benefits to global Vet Show events, and more.
