Celebrating Excellence at the Annual Civil Engineering Prize Giving Evening
Each December, Nottingham Trent University’s Civil Engineering department gathers to celebrate the achievements of its students, graduates, and industry partnerships at the highly anticipated Civil Engineering Prize Giving Evening.

The event recognises outstanding accomplishments across areas such as structural engineering, geotechnics, and transportation. It also celebrates contributions to societal progress, including the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Women in the Built Environment award, which this year was proudly presented to Kimberley Burgess.
Generously supported by a range of industry sponsors, the evening features inspiring guest speakers who share their expertise and insights. This year, we were honoured to welcome Roger Tice from Richter, who reflected on his remarkable career in civil engineering, and John Freeman from Church Lukas, who offered an enlightening perspective on the Building Safety Act.
The highlight of the evening is, of course, celebrating our students as they receive their well-earned prizes in the presence of their families and guests. The event continues to be a highlight in the civil engineering calendar, showcasing the talent and hard work of our community.
We extend our thanks to our prize sponsors and guest speakers for their continued support, helping make this evening a memorable celebration of excellence and achievement.
