Future of Work Conference returns to NBS to help students get career-ready

Nottingham Business School will welcome second-year (Level 5) students to its Future of Work Conference 2026, taking place during the week beginning 23 February.

Designed to help students feel confident about what comes next, the conference will build future-focused skills and deepen understanding of what employers value in graduates.

The conference has become a flagship part of the student experience, bringing together 70+ interactive sessions led by expert speakers from across the University and external organisations.

Across the week, students will explore the big questions shaping careers today and tomorrow – such as how AI is changing workplaces, the skills that will set graduates apart, and how to turn learning into real-world impact.

What students can expect:

  • Industry perspectives on what employers are looking for in graduates
  • Practical workshops focused on skills, confidence, and career readiness
  • New ideas on technology, professional practice, and the changing world of work
  • Opportunities to learn from external speakers, alumni, and academics specialists
