NTU achieves 90% student satisfaction in Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2026
NTU has achieved another year of strong results in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES).

An impressive 90% of NTU’s postgraduate taught students said they are satisfied with the overall quality of their course, exceeding the sector average and NTU’s highest score to date.
NTU also moved up five places in the overall rankings to 26th out of 105 institutions in the UK.
Other highlights include:
- NTU has a top or second quartile ranking for all themes, the highest ranking being for Online Learning Resources, ranking 13th in the sector. Other top quartile themes include Assessment (19th), On-Campus Resources (19th), Support (22nd), Skills Development (23rd), and Teaching (27th)
- NTU’s scores are ahead of the sector in 32 out of 43 questions
- NTU has a top or second quartile ranking for ten subject areas, including Teacher Training (3rd) and Management Studies (10th), which are both ranked in the top quartile.
The PTES is undertaken by Advance HE and asks postgraduate taught students for feedback on the quality of their course and experience. The results help NTU understand how well it meets students’ needs, to address any issues, identify further improvements, and keep doing what is valued.
Achieving 90% overall satisfaction in this year's PTES is an excellent result. It reflects the commitment of colleagues across the University to providing a high-quality postgraduate experience. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement.
