Meet the Peverell Residence Assistants

Kara Taverner

Hi, I’m Kara and this is my third year as a Resident Assistant. I am a master’s student studying Biomedical Science, and in my spare time I enjoy reading, watching films, and cooking. Feel free to ask me any questions!

Kyle Taylor

Hey! I’m Kyle and I’m in my final year, studying Computer Systems (Forensic and Security). I’ve been an RA for a few years now and I’ll be working with the other RA’s at Peverell to make your transition into University a bit easier.

Outside of my course, I enjoy gaming, watching Netflix shows and socialising with my friends.  Feel free to come and say hi, you’ll likely find me around Peverell or looking lost in the library!

Amy Jones

Hello, my name is Amy and I’m in my second year studying Primary Education. In my spare time I am part of the NTU choirs and volunteer in Girl Guiding.

I am really excited to be a Residence Assistant this year and look forward to meeting you. If you ever need support, advice or just a conversation please feel free to get in touch with any of your RA’s. 😊

Jayda Henry-Clarke

Hello my name is Jayda. As one of the RA’s for Peverell this year my role is to help all students with support and/or advice during their time living on campus; if you have any issues for example, feeling homesick, having difficulty making friends etc. I am super friendly and eager to help anyone with questions or queries or to talk to anyone that feels like having a chat.

I also love to cook and all things cooking so if you’ve never really spent time in the kitchen before and are struggling with anything to do with making meals don’t hesitate to contact me. Please feel free to drop me an email at any point in the year!

Chris Holland

Hello, I’m Christopher Holland one of the Resident Assistants at Peverell Halls

My role is to act as a form of support during your stay at the university’s accommodation. I will be doing this alongside my fellow RA’s that make up the team located at Peverell, who will be located in the reception and wondering around the area in our clear pink hoodies in order to make your time away from home as enjoyable as possible. If you have any issue regarding your flatmates, feeling homesick or something outside of university that may be affecting your mental well-being. The resident assistants are here to help in any way possible and provide a way to help you find help from the university’s several support groups depending on the situation.

In my free time, I volunteer at an animal sanctuary that involves getting in direct contact with some of the more energetic animals. Other than that, I like to go to the occasional metal concert with my friends and go to a few society gathering which usually last the whole night while providing plenty of entertainment.

Feel free to have a chat with me anytime you see me around or ask any questions if you have. There’s no such thing as a silly question!
