What you’ll study

Course Overview

The Carbon Management in Business course aims to enhance participants’ knowledge, understanding, skills, and competencies for effectively implementing carbon management strategies in their businesses to achieve Net Zero goals.

Throughout the course, participants will examine business cases for carbon management and identify associated risks and opportunities. You will also establish carbon reduction targets, learn about carbon management planning, and understand how to calculate your carbon footprint.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand climate change and carbon management in a business context
  • Understand the drivers and business case (risks and opportunities) for implementing carbon management
  • Identify scopes of greenhouse emissions related to the business and establish organisational/operational boundaries
  • Measure the carbon footprint for the business or organisation using the resource data and appropriate standard & methodology
  • Set carbon reduction targets and develop measures & strategies for carbon management
  • Develop an effective carbon management plan to strive towards Net Zero and become more sustainable.
