Concluding remarks

The Vice Chancellor

In his concluding remarks, Professor Peck thanked the panellists for their rich contributions to the conversation and reflected on his nine years as Vice-Chancellor at NTU. Professor Peck stressed the importance of being open-minded about what you can learn from international universities and the value of talking to and learning from people with different experiences from different cultures and different ways of doing things.

Professor Peck added that he was deeply encouraged by the conversation and hoped the Global Question Time event had brought different perspectives to a range of key issues facing global higher education today, but also a fair degree of consensus on how international universities can work together to solve a range of global issues in the future.
