Book onto a staff development event
NTU Libraries offers a variety of training and development opportunities to staff. These can range from meeting with new members of academic staff to provide a one-to-one induction, or delivering a training session to update you on things such as changes to copyright legislation or new resources, and how they might affect your teaching. We also participate in School staff development and training weeks.
New Staff Induction
All new members of academic staff are offered a one-to-one induction with a member of the Library Learning and Teaching Team. Not only does this help you get to know us on an individual basis, you have the opportunity to learn more about the library, how we work, and how we can support you in your role. Contact us if we've not already arranged this with you.
Library Events for Staff
Our programme covers a wide range of relevant topics to help you develop your skills and make best use of our extensive resources, including:
- Resource lists: getting starting with RLMS
- Understanding Turnitin
Events run throughout the year across the University - details and bookings can be found on the Library training events page.
School Staff Development Events
We participate in School staff development events where we deliver bespoke training and presentations relevant to the theme and audience. Contact your Learning and Teaching Librarian to discuss your ideas.
