NTU Print Shop offers professional binding and digital foiling, with options for both while-you-wait services and 24-hour turnarounds.

How to place an order

Submit your request in person at the shop or message us by email to TPS@ntu.ac.uk.

Please save your files as print-ready flattened PDFs or JPEGs. This helps reduce waiting times and ensures your work is printed correctly. We aim to process orders within 24 hours of order placement, subject to availability and timing.

Wire binding

Ideal for manuals, reports and presentations, this wire binding allows pages to be easily turned and lays flat for effortless reading. It can accommodate up to 250 pages of 80gsm paper and is available in A3, A4, and A5 landscape sizes, with a frosted polypropylene front cover and a leather-grain back cover.

Comb binding

Ideal for manuals, reports and presentations, this binding features a plastic comb that allows individual pages to be removed and replaced. It can accommodate up to 450 pages of 80gsm paper in A4 portrait or A3 landscape format and comes with a frosted polypropylene front cover and a leather-grain back cover.

Hardcover wire binding

Featuring a hardback, book-style finish, this binding comes with a choice of black, silver, or white wire. Lamination options are available in matt, gloss, or premium soft-touch, and it can accommodate up to 200 pages. Various sizes are also available.

Saddle-stitched binding

Saddles-stitched (folded and stapled) booklets offer a soft, professional binding style that’s perfect for brochures, booklets, and glossy magazines. Available in a range of sizes, they can even be produced with our convenient while-you-wait service.

Photobook binding

Available in white gloss, this binding is ideal for reports and presentations. Adding your own design to the front and back covers gives a professional, artistic finish to your work. It can accommodate up to 300 pages of 80gsm paper and is available in A4 portrait, A4 landscape, and A3 landscape sizes.

Perfect binding

Featuring a magazine-style finish, this binding is ideal for fashion lookbooks. It has a soft wrap-around cover printed on 250gsm heavyweight card, with lamination options available in matt, gloss, or premium soft-touch. It can accommodate 10 to 150 pages of 100gsm paper and is available in various sizes.

Hardback case binding

Featuring a hardback, book-style finish, this binding offers lamination options in matt, gloss, or premium soft-touch. It can accommodate 20 to 150 pages of 100gsm paper and is available in a variety of sizes.

Thermal binding

Available with a black spine, this binding is ideal for reports and presentations. It is available in A4 portrait size and comes with a frosted polypropylene front cover and a leather-grain back cover.

Digital foiling

Digital foiling on covers adds a premium, eye-catching finish. Perfect for creating personalised high-quality printed pieces. Foiling is available in gold, silver, rose gold, and white. We can print any graphic or typeface directly from your supplied PDF file.

Digital foiling hardback

This binding is available in black or navy blue Buckram-style covers and is ideal for dissertations, reports, and presentations. It features optional gold or silver digital foil lettering on the front cover and spine, as well as optional gold or silver metal corner protectors.
