Role
Dr. Abdulahi Ahmed Kuta is a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment.
Abdullahi is the undergraduate modules leader for the Integration of Engineering Applications and Engineering Skills second-year modules and contributes to the Engineering Design project and Current Practices in Civil Engineering(MSc module).
Abdullahi teaches IT courses (Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, GIS) and Engineering Surveying for years 1 and 2.
Career overview
Abdullahi has an Intermediate Certificate and a Diploma in Land Surveying from the Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, National Diploma in Land Surveying from Kaduna Polytechnique, Nigeria, Bachelor of Technology (BTech.) in Surveying & Geoinformatics, Federal University of Technology, Minna, all in Nigeria. He also has an MSc in Geographical Information Systems from the University of Leicester and a PhD in Engineering Surveying & Space Geodesy from the University of Nottingham.
Before joining NTU, Abdullahi worked for over 7 years as a Land Surveyor in Nigeria and has also worked as a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, Loughborough University, Derby college and Coventry University as a Land Surveying, GIS and Remote sensing Lecturer.
Abdullahi is a Registered Surveyor with the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) and a member of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyor and Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc). Abdullahi also has over 10 years of professional experience as a Land Surveyor.
