Joanne Loh is a Lecturer in Property Management & Development and acts as the Course Leader for BSc (Hons) Real Estate.
Career overview
Joanne is an academic with extensive teaching experience in real estate economics and regional development study. Prior joining PMD in 2019, she was lecturing in Malaysia and China. She is currently the Course Leader for BSc Real Estate and module leading at UG and PG level.
Research areas
Joanne completed her PhD in 2015 in UK and her research topic was on economic convergence study between ASEAN and BRICS. Her past research interest was on regional development studies focusing on the China and Asian market. Her current research interest is on the price diffusion by looking at the regional house prices in the UK local housing markets.
External activity
Joanne actively acts as internal and external PhD examiner. She is currently a member of the International Editorial Board for Contemporary Chinese Political Economy and Strategic Relations: An International Journal.
Joanne is also a member of ESD Group (Sustainability Champion) of ADBE and a member of the Athena Swan.
