Career overview

Head of department for Property Management & Development within the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment at Nottingham Trent University. The department is one of the largest, longest established and most respected centres for property education in the United Kingdom and internationally.

Leads a team of approximately 20 academic staff and 12 hourly paid lecturers with responsibility for over 500 students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Has extensive experience of the property market having worked in both the private and public sectors in a real estate capacity. Has been a Chartered Surveyor for over 20 years and has primarily focused on real estate investment, investment agency property valuation, property development consultancy and estates management.

Involved in real estate education for over 10 years with particular expertise in portfolio and fund management, development appraisal and liaison with key industry players. Organises educational field trips both nationally and internationally. Particular focus on developing students’ employability skills and prospects.
