Role

Andy is the course leader of the BA (Hons) Animation course, Andy is primarily a 3D Animator and character artist specializing in the areas of character design and modelling for animation, with an additional focus on performance animation. He also supervises postgraduate students on both the taught MA Puppetry and Digital Animation programme and PhD.

Andrew's background is in Fine Art Sculpture, Digital Sculpture and Installation Animation.

Research areas

Andrew's main research interests lie in the roll of the "hand drawn mark within digital Animation" blending drawing and mark making with the digital 3D animation process. He is currently developing several animated projects both independently and collaboratively aimed across the gallery and cinema environment.
