Role

I am a Senior Lecturer teaching into BA (Hons) Illustration and MA Illustration. I am the Module Leader for the 1st Year Exploring Illustration Module.

Career overview

I worked in the Graphic Design and Advertising industries for over 25 years. I worked as Graphic Designer, Senior Designer and Head of Design. I’ve been employed as part time lecturer in multiple universities, from South Africa to the UK. I’ve been external examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. I’ve worked, and continue to do so, as professional artist and illustrator for same number of years. I have had numerous exhibitions of my work, both in South Africa and internationally.

Research areas

I am continuously working on my practice doing mostly visual research into the art of visual narratives.

External activity

I am a professional illustrator working on various commissioned jobs. I am currently working on a series of graphic novels for Hachette Publishers on the History of Planet Earth.
