Dr Jones is a Principal Lecturer in Media and Cultural Studies and Course Leader for BA (Hons) Media.
Dr Jones previously worked as a Research Associate at the Arthritis and Rheumatism Council for Research Epidemiology Unit, Manchester University, 1989-91.
Dr Jones is currently working on co-authored articles on food festivals and place image (for Journal of Policy Research in Tourism, Leisure and Events) and Remembrance Day 2011. He is also working on single author journal articles on:
- health and safety culture (for Cultural Politics)
- cycle blogging (for Fibreculture Journal)
- gramsci and British cultural Studies (for David Berry and Philip Bounds, eds. British Marxism and Cultural Studies: Essays on a Living Tradition, Fifth estate).
Opportunities to carry out postgraduate research towards an MPhil/PhD by research exist in the School of Arts and Humanities and further information may be obtained from the NTU Graduate School.
