Charlotte Wix

Role

Charlotte is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing, and is Assistant Course Leader for the BA (Hons) International Business suite of degrees. Charlotte is also the Platform and Module Leader for Personal and Academic Development which all NBS undergraduate students undertake. She teaches on International Tourism: Sustainability, Development and Impact, Applied Professional Development and supervises students undertaking internships. Charlotte also has experience of supervising postgraduate students during their international experience consultancy projects.

Charlotte has over 20 years experience of working in Higher Education, including roles in teaching, professional services and administration across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education platforms.

Research areas

Charlotte completed an MA in International Development in 2016 with Distinction, carrying out research on proposed Dark Tourism development and commoditisation of atrocity in Anlong Veng, Cambodia.

As part of her Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice, Charlotte conducted Action Research on the role of co-creation in enabling international exposure in less module student groups.
