Role
Chunping Liu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Nottingham Business School. Since September 2024, she has served as the Director of Doctoral Programmes, overseeing doctoral education and leading initiatives to enhance research within the institution. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Economic Issues (AJG 1*, ABDC B), managing all journal submissions.
Chunping’s research focuses on developing and emerging economies, including 1) macroeconomic modeling with a focus on housing markets, the banking sector, central bank policies, and more recently, the energy sector; 2) firm-level performance and corporate social responsibility; 3) developing a comprehensive Global Wellbeing and Resilience Index. She has published papers in highly-rated journals, such as the Journal of Banking & Finance and International Journal of Finance & Economics.
Chunping teaches Macroeconomics and Econometrics, including Level 6 Econometric Methods and Macroeconomic Issues and Policy. She also supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
