Role
Steve is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing and is involved with a number of foundation level, undergraduate and postgraduate modules across the Nottingham Business School. Steve has most recently taught on modules such as Strategic Marketing, Integrating Marketing Communications & Principles of Marketing.
Career overview
Prior to joining the Nottingham Business School, Steve was previously a Lecturer in Business Management at the University of Derby, working specifically in the Professional and Executive Portfolio.
During Steve’s tenure at Derby he led a number of modules on the BSc Business Management and Chartered Managers Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) where he acted as Personal Tutor for students from organisations such as e-on, Dreams, NHS and a number of SME’s across Derby. Furthermore, Steve was the pedagogic practice lead for the portfolio where he was responsible for the organising teaching observations for academic staff.
Furthermore, Steve has also worked within the FE Sector having been the Course Director for the BA (Hons) Business Management and was the on the Governing Board of Walsall College, advising on strategy in academia and improving student experiences.
Outside of teaching Steve is currently an External Examiner for the University of East Anglia and is currently undertaking Doctoral research.
Research areas
Steve is currently undertaking doctoral research into the relationship between flexible working and internet addiction.
