Role

Victoria Boskett is the Research Support Librarian for the College of Science & Technology, with responsibility for the delivery of professional library services in support of research. Victoria’s main responsibilities are to:

  • provide liaison at a strategic level in support of nationally recognised research and innovation
  • provide advocacy and guidance around open research, including open access compliance for REF2021 and funding bodies
  • participate in internal and external quality processes; ensuring that the provision of library resources meets the requirements of NTU researchers
  • lead on the provision of support and training around the strategic and responsible use of bibliometric data
  • deliver and design training and resources as part of the Vitae Researcher Development Framework
  • provide a point of reference in relation to copyright legislation and licensing issues relevant to research
  • deliver face to face and online / offline enquiry services for staff and doctoral students

Victoria has worked both frontline and strategically in the delivery of library services for many years, both in academia and the National Health Service.
