Role

Under the Valuing Ideas Strategic Theme, Sarah is based in the Research Operations Team.  Her role is focused on the Research Excellence Framework with reference to impact and non standard outputs and she continues to work with the University's Strategic Partnerships to identify mutually beneficial opportunities linked to research.

Career overview

During her time at NTU, Sarah has gained extensive experience in a wide range of areas at the University. As a Coordinator in Research Operations, her role has included working on the 2021 and 2014 REF submissions, supporting the Strategic Research Themes, Ethics and managing the VC Excellence Awards for Research and Practice.  She works closely with the Strategic Partnerships (Culture) having been seconded to the role of Project Manager - Strategic Partnerships (Culture) in 2022/23.

Prior to joining Research Operations she worked in both School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment and Nottingham Business School as a Subject Coordinator. With a background in the history of art and architecture, she previously contributed to BSc Building Surveying’s Heritage and Conservation module.

Sarah is a member of the Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA).
