Research areas
Jake's PhD research is focused on analysing the social engineering threats that vulnerable users (children) face online. The research is aiming to identify, and possibly synthesise, effective technical and non-technical solutions to these threats children face online. Some of these threats include 'Online Grooming' and 'Cyberbullying'.
His Director of Study is Dr Funminiyi Olajide and Secondary Supervisor is Prof Ahmad Lotfi.
External activity
Jake runs a startup company, is collaboration with the Enterprise and Innovation Centre at NTU, which is developing a technical solution to these social engineering attacks, following his research conducted as part of a final year project at NTU (2019)
