Jake Street is a Lecturer within the Computer Science department. He is module leader for Information Security for Data Science and is on the module team for Information Security, Foundations of Computing and Technology (Networking), and Foundations of Computer Programming.
Research areas
Jake's PhD research is focused on analysing the threats that children face online and the use of NLP approaches in activity recognition.
His research aims to identify effective technical solutions to the classify the threats vulnerable users face online.
External activity
Jake runs a startup company, is collaboration with the Enterprise and Innovation Centre at NTU, which is developing a technical solution to these social engineering attacks, following his research conducted as part of a final year project at NTU (2019)
