Dr Muhammad Saadi is working on Seamless integration of efficient 6G wireless technologies (SENSE) for communication and Sensing (6G-SENSES) Horizon Europe project.

Responsible for various project deliverables such as Waveform Design and Signal Processing for Integrated Sensing and Communication, Cell-Free Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output (CFmMIMO).

Career overview

Dr. Muhammad Saadi (SM-IEEE), is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science, Nottingham Trent University, UK. Before that he was an Associate Professor and Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Central Punjab, Pakistan, received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He completed his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Malaysia in 2009 and his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan, in 2007. Dr. Saadi has extensive professional experience, having worked with the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center and Aimagin Ltd. in Thailand.

Throughout his career, Dr. Saadi has authored or co-authored over 90 research articles published in top-tier journals and conferences. His research has achieved an impressive collective impact factor exceeding 120. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Best Research and Innovator Award in 2022. His research interests include visible light communication, indoor localization, machine learning and next-generation networks. During his Ph.D., he was awarded the prestigious 90 Years Chulalongkorn Scholarship and received the Best Paper Award at ITC-CSCC in both 2014 and 2015.

Dr. Saadi has held significant editorial and management roles in various international conferences and journals. He serves as the founding Managing Editor of the UCP Journal of Engineering and Information Technology and regularly reviews for leading journals in wireless communication, machine learning, and smart cities. Additionally, he offers consultancy services to SASAM Solutions and the UCP-Space Research Center.
