Dr Vishalkumar Arjunsinh Thakor joined Nottingham Trent University as a Lecturer, bringing over 5 years of university-level teaching experience in the UK and more than 15 years of overall teaching expertise. He has completed a PhD in Cybersecurity from Teesside University, UK, where his research focused on "Lightweight Cryptography to Improve Device-Level Security in IoT". In addition, he earned an MSc in Software Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Science from VTU, Bangalore, India.

Research areas

Core interests include Cryptography, Information Security, and Cybersecurity, complemented by expertise in Computer Networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), SQL, MS Power BI, Algorithm Design, Data Structures, and Web Design. I also enjoy coding in C/C++ and Python. I have published numerous papers in prestigious journals, including IEEE Access, Elsevier, and Springer.
