Role
Jodie Heginbotham is the Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Media Communications degree. She teaches across a range of modules, including PR and Communications for Journalism students, and contributes to NTU’s international teaching provision through its partnership with the Communication University of China.

An award-winning entrepreneur and communications professional, Jodie has built a successful career managing campaigns and founding a nationally recognised business celebrated for innovation and impact. Alongside her academic role, she remains active in professional practice, maintaining strong industry connections that enrich teaching and create valuable opportunities for students. Her teaching emphasises employability and real-world application, with initiatives that connect students to employers through live briefs, guest lectures, and networking events. Many of her graduates have gone on to successful careers in PR, marketing, and media – or launched their own ventures.
