Having been at NTU since 2021, Dan as the Head of Basketball has taken the basketball club to new heights over his tenure so far, both the Men’s and Women’s teams would go undefeated and see promotion to BUCS premier in his first year at NTU.

Last season the men’s team won their first-ever BUCS Prem North league title, while the men's 2nds & 3rds would also win their leagues, gain promotion, with Men's 2nds winning the conference cup whilst the 3rds went undefeated for the entire season.

Dan has seen success as both a player and Coach in his 20+ years of experience within the sport in multiple leagues & levels in the UK & beyond.

As a player, Dan played in the states at Mt San Jacinto College and then when returning to the UK was a sports scholar at Derby University whilst playing NBL Division 1 and being the Captain for the Derby Trailblazers where Dan would enjoy League Championships and several individual awards for his play. Dan was also a pivotal part in the development of the Derby university BUCS program winning 5 BUCS league titles in 7 years in his tenure there. since then Dan was the Head coach for Derbyshire Spartans mens and head of the youth program where they saw back-to-back promotions including a division 4 league and playoff championship as well as U16 & U18 league titles & promotions.

Dan has a history of coaching successful teams as he has won BUCS titles in all divisions and has won titles in the youth leagues of NBL as well as division 3 & 4 men’s.

External activity

Dan has been the Head coach for the Nottingham Hoods D1 teams since 2022 where he coached his way to the club's 2nd ever playoff appearance in NBLD1.

Dan is the Head of the Nottingham Hoods youth program and is working with Nottingham Academy to develop coaches & youth basketball in and around the City.

Dan has been the Head coach for Basketball England's Aspire program in the East Midlands for the last 5 years. Where he is striving to help players from the east Midlands make England & GB teams. Dan is also a part of the Central region coaching staff on the Aspire pathway where he works with U13 & U15 boys.

Dan has recently started working with the English Universities men's teams where they are currently undefeated in his tenure with the program.

Dan has also just jumped into the world of 3x3 basketball being named the Head coach of the England 3x3 U17 team.
