Role
Jason has been working with NTU since 2016 and has managed to maintain the reputation as one of the leading universities in the country for its table tennis. With both boys’ and girls’ teams performing not only at the top end of the BUCS league and championships, but also with its five boys’ team and three girls’ teams, providing opportunities for players of all levels to pursue their goals.
Career overview
Jason a former NTU student himself, starting coaching as early as 2007, and has been involved with various coaching positions/organisations on his journey including being the East Midlands Coaching Co-ordinator, Grantham Academy Coach, DiSE assistant coach, and more recently with CLW as the sixth form academy coach, NTU and Nottingham Table Tennis Club.
External activity
Jason is a Director at Nottingham Table Tennis Club and its top team currently play in the Championship of the Senior British League. The club based in Carlton ((few miles from Clifton campus) where players can access additional training, local league matches, and national competitions. He also still competes and plays at a prominent level, having represented England over the last few years at the Vetts Home Nations events, taking various gold medals in not only singles events, but doubles and team events.
