Carbon Reduction Code for the Built Environment
Arc is proud to be working in partnership with Nottingham Trent University (NTU) to promote and embed the Carbon Reduction Code for the Built Environment (CRCBE) across the construction sector locally.
The Carbon Reduction Code for the Built Environment is a construction specific initiative adopted by Arc Partnership; regionally convened and independently operated by Nottingham Trent University to strengthen SMEs and other supply chain businesses within the local economy.
Participating businesses are supported to develop the skills and tools they need to compete in a rapidly changing construction sector, channelling national expertise and investment into a regional setting.
A practical framework for carbon reduction
The Carbon Reduction Code initiative provides a clear, practical and locally relevant framework to help SMEs and contractors:
- Embed sustainable building practices
- Increase productivity through digital innovation
- Enhance competitiveness in public and private sector procurement
- Improve carbon measurement and reporting

Arc Partnership will work closely with Nottingham Trent University and our supply chain partners to embed and expand the Code across projects.
