We pride ourselves on our dynamic and personal Law School community, creating many fantastic opportunities for our students.
Through our in-house teaching law firm – NLS Legal – there are plenty of opportunities to gain a real world perspective. Students spanning all years and courses could support with the running of our regulated law firm, and work on real cases under the supervision of experienced lawyers. The Centre’s innovative model and positive impact on our students and the community was celebrated at the national LexisNexis Legal Awards, where the NLS Legal was crowned Law Firm of the Year 2022.
Other school community activities include mooting, volunteering, work experience, overseas placements, summer schools, guest lectures, careers skills workshops, professional and networking lunches, prize giving ceremonies and much more.
Our courses are accredited or approved by a range of professional bodies, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Bar Standards Board, Intellectual Property Regulation Board and Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, and our extensive links with the legal and other professions both at home and overseas, reflect and inform the design of our course portfolio and ensure that we continue to lead the way in legal education.
