What is a foundation degree, and am I eligible to study?

Foundation degrees focus on a specific job or profession. You’ll build important knowledge and technical skills during your two-year course. Once you’ve finished, you can top up your qualification to a Bachelor’s-level degree – or move straight into work!

Entry grades are also lower for foundation degrees, giving you more leeway to get started. All our courses require DDE at A-level, or MPP in your diploma. You’ll also need grade C/4 in GCSE-level Maths and English. Some subjects have additional requirements, so visit our course pages for more detailed info.

Have you thought about a career in nursing?

You can apply for a course in Nursing where the teaching will take place at our Clifton campus. For Mansfield students who accept a place on the 2020 entry you will get help with transport for the first year.
