Photography Facilities
Located in the Nottingham School of Art & Design's Bonington building, our Photography facilities give students access to both analogue and digital equipment, studio spaces, dark rooms, and editing suites.
Photography facilities
Photography facilities and equipment include:
- comprehensive Mac editing suites with software for photography and video;
- a range of Canon and Nikon digital SLR cameras
- Phase One digital backs for large and medium format
- 35mm cameras including Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax, and Leica
- medium format cameras including Mamiya, Hasselblad, Yashica, and Rolleicord
- large format cameras including MPP, Wista, and Toyo
- HD video cameras and digital SLRs with HD video
- Bowens and Profoto strobe flash equipment
- black-and-white darkroom for wet and dry printing processes, with 39 enlargers – these include De Vere and Durst, with multigrade, colour head, and filter drawer head
- colour suite dedicated to colour printing with ten individual darkrooms equipped with either a De Vere 203 or 504 enlarger with a colour printing head (dry process)
- black-and-white print processing systems including Paterson dev system and deep tank processing
- three dedicated full-size studios with backgrounds and Profoto lighting
