More about Christina
I chose this course because of the brilliant reputation and for the excellent education and teaching standards. The facilities at Brackenhurst are excellent for the course I am doing, while being in a more rural location, there is still an excellent student life, especially as I live in accommodation at Brack.
I really enjoy the course I’m doing and wish I could do it all again, I have learnt so much and improved my knowledge and skills greatly. I have had plenty of new experiences and met some great people on the course, along with the excellent lecturers I have met.
The course is amazing and you learn so much, and it has been the most productive and enjoyable part of my education so far! I mostly enjoy the practical side, with all the excellent facilities and horses.
I haven’t yet done a placement, but through Grooms Academy, I intend to go to some big yards such as Lucinda Fredrick’s, and Jonty Evans, which I am really excited about.
I have found my course tutors to be very helpful and supportive; they’ve definitely made my experience at Brackenhurst the best it could be. I’ve also had plenty of support from employability throughout my time here, especially towards the end of my second year while preparing my personal statement and UCAS application; they also help lots towards work experience and placements.
I chose Brackenhurst because of the brilliant facilities, staff and all round education. It’s very easy going, and everyone’s very supportive, but at the same time, we get work done and learn a lot. It didn’t take long to settle in at all and felt like I’d been here for years already, after a few days of being here.
Everything I’ve learnt at Brack will help me in getting a job in the equine industry and the majority of the skills I have learnt will be transferable in other careers. If I were to describe my time at NTU in three words, I’d say exciting, amazing, unforgettable!
