The course staff is one of the best staff I have ever met. Everyone is passionate about the subjects taught. They give extra support for those in difficulty as well as those who want to deepen their knowledge.

More about Noemie

Why NTU…

Why did you choose NTU and your course?

NTU is a partner of my French Building and Engineering School, ESTP. As a double degree student, I need to find a university that allows me to pursue my study in a more specific domain, in this case Structural Engineering with Management.

What do you think about the course staff? How do they support your learning and university experience?

The course staff is one of the best staff I have ever met. Everyone is passionate about the subjects taught. They give extra support for those in difficulty as well as those who want to deepen their knowledge.

Does the “real” NTU match what you’d imagined? How does it compare with your friends’ experience at other universities?

The “real” NTU matches my expectations. NTU organizes a lot of events that benefit studies, especially the various Career Fairs. The library is also open 24 hours a day, which is a positive point.

How would you promote NTU to potential students in 10 words or fewer?

With NTU you can grow academically, culturally and in sport.

Outside of the Lecture Theatre…

Did you find it easy to make friends and settle in at NTU?

Settling in at NTU went well. There is always something to do in Nottingham and making friends is easy if you are part of a society.

The Next Steps…

What’s next for you after NTU?

After graduating from NTU and ESTP, I will work in the UK as a structural engineer.

Has the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU?

The Employability team explained to me all possibilities that I could have and what I need to provide to be able to achieve this.

How is NTU helping you to achieve your career goals?

NTU enabled me to meet construction professionals through Career Fairs and company presentations. It was a great way to learn more about the different companies in the UK and to prepare for graduation.

Advice...

What top tips would you give anyone thinking about studying your course at NTU?

I will advise you to find out more about the different modules offered by the course and choose one that suits you. You can find details of the subjects taught on the NTU website.

As an International Student…

Why did you want to study in the UK?

I wanted to study in the UK for two reasons: the high-quality education and the language advantage. The qualifications obtained from UK universities are globally recognized and respected. Studying in an English-speaking country like the UK provides you with the opportunity to improve your English language skills.

What advice would you give to help new international students get settled in at university?

The advice I would give to help new international students is to verify all requirements from NTU and government such as finance, English language requirements, Visa, etc.

You can find all the information you need on the NTU website.
