More about Vivien
I am currently a second year BArch (Hons) Architecture student and an EDI Champion for the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment.
I chose to apply to be an EDI Champion after I joined the EDI Competition organised by ADBE earlier this year. Prior to the competition, I did not have enough knowledge regarding Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity. Throughout the process; including discussions with the EDI Team, some research, and producing my submission for the competition, I realised the importance of EDI matter, especially in the construction industry. Now, I am a student voice in the EDI Committee, to participate in ensuring that this EDI topic is highlighted in our courses, to prepare us the students, as the future leaders of the industry.
I hope that my experience as an EDI Ambassador will open the doors to many opportunities out there, as well as developing myself into a more open-minded individual.
I chose to study at NTU mainly because I found its BArch (Hons) Architecture modules interesting, in such a way that they suit me the most. Now, I can say that I would thank my past self for making that decision.
