NTU is in a lovely city with a good sense of community among students.
More about Anna
Anna secured a placement with lifestyle retailer, Fat Face, as the result of winning a live project.
“I chose to study at NTU because of its great reputation for Textile Design, and also because Nottingham is a great city. I like how we get to develop a concept, design ideas, then actually make the samples at the end.
“Our tutors are very supportive throughout our projects. Not only do we have group tutorials but if you need any extra help or have any questions, they are always happy to help. The technical staff are very helpful as they know their fields extremely well.
“In the weave room we have lots of different types of looms, from small table looms to an industrial jacquard, so we can weave fabrics by hand or design them on specialist software to get more intricate designs.
“When completing the live project with Fat Face, I most enjoyed pushing myself to be as creative as possible whilst still keeping my ideas commercial. I was able to develop my team working skills as I had never shared a concept and designed a collection in a group before this project.
“I’d recommend studying Textile Design at NTU because the course explores all the different aspects of textile design. NTU is in a lovely city with a good sense of community among students.”
