More about Charlotte
What made you choose to study at NTU?
“There were many reasons that influenced my decision to study here, including the excellent facilities, a welcoming work and living environment and the course content.”
What have you enjoyed most about your course so far?
“The part of the course I have enjoyed most so far would have to be my very first project. This included a range of practical sessions, lectures, workshops and trips which made for a packed and exciting start to my first term at university. We had the opportunity to see Handmade Theatre Company perform, which included a question and answer session at the end. This gave me the chance to find out what it would be like to begin my professional career.”
How do you find the facilities?
“The facilities are perfect. Everything you could possibly need for a theatre design course is accessible to us. We even get our own work station, which is perfect when completing on-going work for a project.”
How did you find Welcome Week?
“Welcome Week was great, there were lots of things going on making it easy to meet and get to know new people.”
What was moving into halls like?
“Moving in day was very organised making it a stress-free process! I moved in to Byron, which I highly recommend, it’s excellent student accommodation.”
What have you enjoyed most about moving to Nottingham?
“I have enjoyed moving to a city centre in general. Everything is easily accessible from the City Campus, including theatres, shops and restaurants. It’s perfect!”
What has been the highlight of your first term?
“The highlight of my first term at NTU has to be visiting London with my course to watch NoFit State Circus perform Bianco. It was a great insight into how diverse a career in theatre design can be.”
