My name is Nicholas Gillies. I am a third year animation student.

My final film project is a thesis film about a bunny who is planning for the future and being dragged onto a road trip by their best friend. The process has been very new for me. It's both 2D, hand drawn and rigged and finding the balance between those two styles has been a little difficult, but it's been very fun. And I am working very closely with voice actors.

It's more of a performance heavy film. I am really proud of the story. I'm very used to writing comedies and very slapstick humor. And this movie, although it's a comedy, it also delves into a lot more serious and personal themes.

And although the writing could use a bit of work, I'm very proud with what I've created. NTU has made me more confident to delve into the animation industry because of the amount of industry titans who come into the uni and talk about what they do. Talking to these people and listening to their lectures has been very, very inspiring.
