Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (PEAP) courses

We offer pre-sessional English courses from 6 to 30 weeks if you need help achieving the University language requirements. Successfully completing a PEAP course may be a condition of studying here and if this applies to you, we’ll explain how many weeks you need in your offer letter. If you’ve already got the required grades you can still choose to do a short PEAP course here to improve your study skills before you start your academic course.  Although you don’t have to do this, we do recommend it.

English language requirements for PEAP courses

There are entry requirements for PEAP courses so that we can decide how many weeks you need to get from your current grade to the required grade for starting a degree here. To comply with Tier 4 visa regulations you must have an IELTS taken at an approved UKVI testing centre.
